Nice to see you again, this is Aoki ☀

It’s finally July and we’ve now entered the latter half of the year.
The first half went by quickly and I want to make the most out of every single day during university = )
The other day, I went to the Shirahige-jinja shrine which has been selected as one of the Hundred Landscapes of Oyama.
The inside of the shrine is expansive, yet very quiet where you can even feel the spirituality of the place.

The Shirahige-jinja shrine is famous for it’s area inside that pumps out sacred spring water!

This spring has long been said to have benefits such as good health and ward off disease, and in times of drought, people came here to bring home water and pray for rain, which it always did.
In addition, the act of pouring a splash of this water in the laundry for a change of pace, and/or pouring it on your car to keep away from accidents has been handed down through generations.

I made sure to bring some home in my water bottle! 😀
