Hello everyone!
We’re getting straight to the point today as I want to introduce a place in Kagawa prefecture with an incredible view!
The place? The Takaya-jinja shrine.

The main shrine is located on the peak of Mount Inazumi in Kan’onji city, Kagawa.

Pretty photogenic isn’t it?
This Torii gate has been named the “Torii Gate in the Sky,” and is selected as one of the 88 Best Sceneries of Shikoku.

In addition, the main shrine has an incredible view of both Kan’onji city and the Seto Inland Sea.

By the way, there are 2 ways (main and back routes) to access this shrine.
The main route is to access from the front of the Torii gate.

You will end having to climb an endless flight of stairs though... Plus, some of the steps on the stone stairway are unstable so anyone with a fear of heights will be scared in a lot of other ways!
Definitely not recommended!

The other way is to get near the main shrine by car.

This way offers well-maintained parking lots and roads (hard to notice from the photos, but very steep!). You can also enjoy an incredible view towards Nio while climbing this route.

I 100% recommend this!
So if you ever visit Shikoku, do come by.
Just remember, there are a lot of narrow roads so practice safe driving and be careful.
