Mount Hōman: Day 2 of Mountain Climbing in Fukuoka

Store name: Miyazaki Station
Hello. This is Kawashita from the Miyazaki Station store.
On the 2nd day of my mountaineering through Fukuoka, I climbed Mount Hōman from the Kamado-jinja shrine side.
An Adorable Encounter at Kamado-jinja Shrine:
To be honest, it was a long and hard climb up a continuous flight of paved stairs through the mountain.
Although there were no wide and open views of the scenery during the trail, I enjoyed a relaxing walk through the forest while I climbed the mountain.
It took about 2 and a half hours for me to reach the summit at a leisurely pace.
Check out this fantastic 360-degree view from the summit!
Climbing back down was a little scary because of my fear of heights.
So it came as a shock to me when I heard that there was another trail besides the chain-linked one.
Climbing down took a little under 2 hours.
All in all, it was a glorious 2 days well spent among the nature of Fukuoka.

Renting a car comes in handing when you’re mountain climbing in Kyushu!
June is the peak season to view the the Kyushu Azalea in the mountains of Miyazaki and Ōita.
I would love to go there once I have the time =)
