The “OGIONSAA” festival that has long since been loved as the summer tradition by the people of Kagoshima will open around the bustling Tenmonkan, Kagoshima city on:
Saturday, July 20th (eve of festival)
Sunday, July 21st (main day of festival)
The festival will be held for two whole days!
The “OGIONSAA” festival, ongoing since the Edo period, is held to brighten up the summer in Kagoshima, and to pray for prosperous business and ward away plagues.
The Goshinkou parade during main festival is where a total of 3,000 people will parade gracefully in a traditional and festive manner around Tenmonkan, Kagoshima city.
