I have recently been assigned to the Kagoshima Airport store at the end of April. The name is Shimada 🙇♂️
For my first-ever upload, I would like to feature the nearest sightseeing spot from the Kagoshima Airport store.
That would be...”Saigo Park.”
Like its namesake, the park houses a statue of Saigō Takamori, a historical figure of Satsuma.
Said to be one of Japan’s most famous statue, it holds a particularly powerful aura when viewed up close. Please stop by at least once when you come by Kagoshima Airport!
We recommend the park for history-buffs because it features exhibits of historical documents that detail the background of Saigō Takamori.
There is even a souvenir shop in the center of the park.
