I will introduce you hidden sightseeing spots in Fukuoka.

As a person who is living in a local, there are hidden place.

There is a place called Nanzoin, where the large Buddha monument is.

It is know as Buddhism secret place, especially for Shingon-shu.

The place is not so far from Fukuoka city within 20 min drive.

You can also travel to Munakata shrine after the Nanzoin.

It is about 30 min drive to get Munakara Shrine from Nanzoin.

It is a good combination to look around 2 major religious place in 1 day.

If you have time, please try Sashimi in Munakata area.

Munakata is famous for fresh fish, and many high quality Sashimi you should try.
